The township will spend just over $21,000 to upgrade the municipality’s computer system.

Council approved a recommendation in a report by finance director Yufang Du to proceed with the upgrades at its Dec. 22 meeting.

In the 2015 budget, council approved capital project spending of $24,000 to upgrade the computer system which includes replacing computers older than five years and upgrading backup system hardware, server and desktop UPS.

The total project cost in a proposal provided by CopperTree Inc. is $21,424, explains Du in the report.
