ELORA – Elora Public School is holding its annual celebration of music, Music Lives@Elora Public School, on Feb. 20.

ERIN – Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) reminds residents of the dangers near streams, rivers, ponds and lakes this time of year. CVC urges people to exercise caution and keep family and pets away from the edges of all waterways.

GUELPH –  The Ontario Farmland Trust (OFT) is set to host its annual Farmland Forum on March 20, bringing together experts and advocates to explore the vital connection between watershed protection and the future of Ontario’s farmlands. 

WELLINGTON COUNTY  – Take the Stress out of IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) is being offered in an online format this winter to help adults of all ages decrease symptoms of IBS or a stressed/nervous stomach. 

GUELPH –  The Guelph Tool Library wants to collect 50 laptops in February.  

ALTON  – Colour is Headwaters Arts second themed, member art show that celebrates a world filled with colours as seen through the eyes of the selected artists. 

ONTARIO  – It’s election time in Ontario, and across the province, candidates have started meeting with voters and sharing their platforms. 

WELLINGTON COUNTY  – Winter activities are well underway at the six Grand River Conservation Areas that are open year-round, including Belwood Lake, Guelph Lake, Laurel Creek, Pinehurst Lake, Rockwood and Shade’s Mills conservation areas. 

GUELPH – According to University of Guelph arboretum expert Alison Morrison, this year’s record breaking snow could be a boon for tree health.

GUELPH  – Local food security program Community FEWD (Food Equity With Dignity) is facing a $60,000 budget shortfall for 2025. 

ERIN – The Town of Erin has hired Jason Falk as its operations supervisor, facilities and parks, effective March 10.
