WCDSB, OECTA ratify collective agreement
The Wellington Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) Wellington unit have ratified new local collective agreements. The agreement covers the elementary/secondary as well as the occasional teacher bargaining unit.
The three-year agreements, from Sept. 1, 2014 to Aug. 31, 2017 are in accordance with the ratified terms of the central agreement between OECTA and the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA), and as agreed to by the Crown, states a press from the WCDSB.
The OECTA Wellington elementary and secondary unit represents over 500 teachers and the occasional teacher unit represents approximately 200 occasional teachers.
