Scoring credit in the second goes to Joseph Columbus with two and one each for Nicholas Leader, Kyle Henderson and Derek Kurtz. In the third, Columbus scored three more times for a 13-1 win over Owen Sound.

The second game was against the Guelph Regals. Marsland scored twice in the first to get things going. A goal from Mackie, two from Wilson, one each from Fraser Clark, Leader and Marsland ended the second on a strong note.

But the Mohawks weren’t done finding the back of the net. Columbus, Mackie, Marsland and Nathan Long brought the score up to 12-0, a shutout for goalie Ethan Lawrence.

The third game of the day was against the Kitchener Waterloo Braves, Columbus scored one and Owen Hahn scored two in the first for a quick lead. Long, Kurtz, Mackie, Leader, Clark, Hahn and Columbus all scored in next two periods to bring the score to 10-0, another shutout for the hard-working goalie Lawrence.

Three wins meant that the Mohawks made the finals.

Sunday morning they were back in Guelph to play second-place team, the Owen Sound North Stars, who started the scoring off, getting two quick goals for the lead, but Clark scored two, Mackie one and another from Clark brought the score to 4-2.

The Mohawks kept the goals coming, with one each from Leader and Columbus, two from Ryan McDougall and another from Keira Healey, to give them a solid lead going into the third. Wilson scored one, Columbus scored two and Leader and Marsland put in one each to secure the 14-4 win.

After two days, four games,  a few bumps and bruises and a lot of hard work, the Centre Wellington Tyke Mohawks went home with the Zone B Division Championship title.
