Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP began a drug trafficking investigation earlier this year and arrested and charged one person following a drug bust there in June.
"Officers identified two additional individuals believed to be involved in drug trafficking activities ... and executed nine additional search warrants on residences and four search warrants on vehicles across multiple jurisdictions," police stated in a Nov. 5 press release.
Included were drug busts on Nov. 1 and 2 at houses in Fergus, Maple, Chatham, Chatsworth, Bayfield, Peterborough and Midland.
Among the items seized by police were two hand guns, ammunition, two crossbows, two BB guns, two laptops, 29 cell phones, a taser, vehicle, over $84,000 in Canadian currency and 12 gold bars valued at about $66,000.
Drugs seized included over 3kg of cocaine, 268 grams of crystal meth, 116 oxycodone pills and 31.7 grams of crack cocaine.
Abdul Hakimi, 39, of Fergus, and Kheir Hakimi, 41, of Maple, were each charged with possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000) and two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine and methamphetamine).
