CENTRE WELLINGTON  – Although Ontario has an abundance of rich farmland, there is a significant need for more youth to pursue agricultural careers in the province.

FERGUS – St. Joseph Catholic School in Fergus had a special Remembrance Day ceremony.

FERGUS – St. Joseph Catholic School in Fergus held a fundraising dance on Oct. 31 to benefit United Way of Guelph Wellington and raised $500.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Students at the Upper Grand and Wellington Catholic district school boards performed better, on average, than their provincial peers on tests from the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO).  

FERGUS – The You’re the Chef Club at St. Joseph Catholic School in Fergus prepared and served lunch to over 40 members of the St. Joseph Parish’s Catholic Women’s League (CWL) on May 23.

FERGUS – St. Joseph Catholic School in Fergus hosts a Heart and Stroke Fundraiser every year.

GUELPH – Parents, teachers and children cheered from the sidelines while athletes from across Wellington County's two school boards sprinted down a track, tossed balls into nets, and swung baseball bats at a Special Olympics Track and Field Day on May 15.

FERGUS – St. Joseph Catholic School principal Todd Goodwin has been selected by the Catholic Principals Council of Ontario (CPCO) as one of the recipients of the 2024 Distinguished Service Award.

ABOYNE – Grade 2 students from Mrs. Lloyd’s class at St. Joseph Catholic School visited the Wellington County Museum and Archives on Nov. 21.

GUELPH – The Wellington Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) is hoping to grow to include almost 800 additional pupils within Wellington County. 

FERGUS – Centre Wellington council sent an application for a five-storey mixed use building on St. David Street North back to the drawing board at its Oct. 16 committee of the whole meeting.
