MINTO – The Norwell District Secondary School girls curling team competed in the 20-team OFSAA tournament, featuring the best girls high school teams in the province, in Sarnia from March 18 to 21.

PALMERSTON – On Feb. 26, Norwell District Secondary School’s Drama Club travelled to John F. Ross in Guelph to compete in the National Theatre School Drama Festival for the first time in many years.

PALMERSTON – The Norwell District Secondary School’s Varsity Reds travelled to Guelph on Feb. 28 to compete in the Special Olympics Bocce qualifier.

MOUNT FOREST – On Feb. 26, Pink Shirt Day was recognized at Wellington Heights and Norwell District secondary schools and across Canada and New Zealand.  

PALMERSTON – The Norwell District Secondary School Junior boys volleyball team will be heading to Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association (CWOSSA) championship in Hanover on Nov. 15.

MINTO – Students at Norwell District Secondary School showed their creative sides as they painted pumpkins to gift to local senior citizens at Royal Terrace Long-Term and Residential Care on Oct. 10.

PALMERSTON – Norwell District Secondary School held a “Soak a Senior/Staff” event to raise money for the Terry Fox Foundation on Sept. 27.

MAPLETON — The Trees for Mapleton initiative has successfully reached its goal, marking a significant milestone for the community’s environmental efforts. 

PALMERSTON – A team of dedicated volunteers have created a “safe space” for rural youth navigating through life’s many challenges.

PALMERSTON – The Norwell District Secondary School Girl’s Slo-Pitch team traveled to Hamilton June 10 and 11 to compete at Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) tournament.

PALMERSTON – Founder and presenter of DROM Val Shah, left, led Norwell District Secondary School teachers and students in a half-hour DROM exercise on June 7 as a part of Norwell’s RedFest event.

PALMERSTON – The cast and crew of Theatre Norwell performed Annie to seven sold out shows from May 14 to 18.

PALMERSTON – A celebration of life for former Town of Minto mayor David Burns will be held at the Frank Lambier Legion in Palmerston on June 14.
