Consider this: A simple act of kindness has the power to brighten someone’s day - and even leave a lasting impression on their lives.

Scouts Canada is challenging all Canadians to make their communities a better place, one good turn at a time, during Scouts Canada’s 7th annual Good Turn Week from April 22 to May 1.

The week is a youth-driven movement that invites all Canadians to join in.

A group of Guelph Scouts is collaborating with Guelph Community Health Centre in hosting a donation drive to create hygiene kits and survival kits, in support of Warm Connections, a program that offers the homeless with an opportunity to meet their basic human needs.

The drive will take place on April 30 from 1 to 5pm  at Old Quebec Street, where Scouts hope locals will donate items such as toothbrushes and toothpastes, lip balm, deodorant and more.
