PUSLINCH – Local police are looking for help to identify two people they say are were involved in fraudulent vehicle transactions at a local dealership.
Wellington County OPP officials say that on Oct. 13 a man (suspect two, above) came to a Puslinch dealership to take possession of a vehicle that had been applied for online.
“The suspect presented fraudulent identification documents to secure financing and obtain the vehicle,” police stated in a press release.
“The fraudulent identification displayed the suspect’s photograph but contained the personal information of an unknowing victim.”
Police say a woman (suspect one, above) pulled off the same scam at the same dealership on Sept. 29.
“In addition, police learned that a third suspected fraudulent vehicle financing transaction involving the same dealership and a third male suspect (suspect three, above) was in progress at the time of reporting,” police stated.
