Reverend accepts call to pulpit

Burns Presbyterian Church in Erin and Knox Presbyterian Church in Ospringe are happy to announce Reverend James H. Knott has accepted a call to the pulpit, effective Feb. 1.

Knott and his wife Pat farmed for 20 years in the Thornbury area before he returned to school in 2001.

James holds a master in theological studies degree from Tyndale Seminary and a Master in Divinity from Presbyterian College in Montreal.

While studying at Montreal, he served as interim student pastor at Mount Moriah Presbyterian Church in Port Henry, New York.

He was ordained in 2007 before accepting a call to Knox Presbyterian Church and Knox Harrington Pastoral Charge in Embro, Ontario.

Knott continues to study and work on a masters of theology in Christian spiritually at Tyndale.

Knott and Pat have two adult children and three grandchildren.
