Registrations open for Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament

MINTO – Organizers of the annual Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament here are taking registrations and seeking sponsors for the 2020 event.

Established 10 years ago to raise funds for organizations within the Town of Minto, the tournament has raised over $100,000 for 35 local organizations since its inception.

“While this year will be slightly different than our past tournaments, we are still looking to get out, raise some money and have a great time on the golf course,” organizers state.

Each team will need to schedule a tee-off time for the Aug. 6 tournament, to be held at Pike Lake Golf Centre. The goal this year is to raise funds to assist an Integrated Youth Services Network Hub that will be located in Palmerston.

“The Integrated Youth Services Network is a collaborative project, with the objective of providing the right services to the right youth in a timely and efficient matter,” organizers state.

For more information or to register a team, contact tawnya@town.minto.on.ca or at 519-338-2511 ext. 233. Teams are asked to register by July 20.
