Close to 300 new COVID-19 cases reported in region over long weekend

WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health long weekend total works out to a daily average of over 59 new cases. In the week leading up to the long weekend, the region averaged just under 21 new cases per day.

GUELPH – Nearly a quarter of eligible residents in the region have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination - and public health is now inviting everyone over the age of 16 to pre-register for their first shot. “This is something to celebrate,” stated Dr. Nicola Mercer, Medical Officer of Health.
