WELLINGTON COUNTY – The provincial government has made unilateral changes to an amendment to Wellington County’s Official Plan, adding more than 1,000 acres of mostly agricultural land to urban boundaries.

Live theatre – The Grey Wellington Theatre Guild’s production of the stage comedy Two Witches, No Waiting opened at the Harriston Town Hall Theatre last weekend. Shows continue on May 12, 13 and 14. For information visit greywellingtontheatre.com. 

HARRISTON – The Harriston chapter of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an open house on May 29. 

Coronation Tea – Harriston United Church hosted a Coronation Tea on May 6 in celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III. Attendees dressed in their finest to enjoy tea and desserts and check out memorabilia on display. Lorna Collins, centre, serves tea to Nancy Dietrich and Dorothy Pike.

HARRISTON – A large crowd attended an artists reception for the Minto Arts Council Juried Art Show at the gallery in Harriston on May 4.
