MAPLETON – With both provincial and municipal elections set to occur this year, council here has adopted a bylaw regulating election signage. The township has thus far operated without such a bylaw, but staff suggested it would be good to have one in the event issues arise.

Ambulance now operates from Drayton around the clock
MAPLETON – Ambulances are now operating out of a Drayton location around the clock. However, the chief pointed out, a planned move of the ambulance station from the Drayton fire station to the former Wellington County public works garage on John Street has been delayed.
County council passes bylaw allowing off-road vehicles on county roads
GUELPH – Off-road vehicles (ORV) are now permitted on all Wellington County roads. A bylaw permitting the use of ORVS on roads owned by the county was approved by county council on March 31.
