GUELPH – On March 27, county council voted 9–7 to reject larger signs for the automated speed enforcement pilot program, which to date has generated $1.18 million in gross revenue.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Elora waste facility will temporarily close from April 5 until December for the construction of a $2.89-million county project. 

FERGUS – What’s it like to have autism? As World Autism Day (April 2) approaches, 11-year-old Matteo Di Cintio gave it some thought. “It’s like having a super power,” he said in an interview. “I have a super brain that makes me really smart.”

ELORA – Elora’s Mike Duhacek has been nominated for a Police Hero Honour Roll Award.

ELORA – Centre Wellington council has allocated at total of $113,000 to  34 community groups. The funding, awarded on March 24, provides financial support to organizations deemed to foster, strengthen and stimulate community appreciation and enhance the quality of life in Centre Wellington.

FERGUS – Wellington Advertiser circulation manager Catharine Goss celebrated her retirement on March 20 after 22 years with the company.
