FERGUS – Centre Wellington firefighters were at J.D. Hogarth Public School investigating the cause of light smoke and a bad smell on Nov. 24.

ELORA – The Guelph Handmade Group held a market at the stables at the GrandWay Events Centre on Nov. 15. 

FERGUS - Garafraxa Street East residents want more done to curb traffic woes on the county roadway, currently part of a detour route around construction on St. David Street North. A March traffic study recorded 21,388 vehicles over a seven-day period — a number one councillor says is too high.

ELORA – The closure of Colborne Street for construction is causing a “hiccup” for the Elora Lions, who are deep into planning the Elora Santa Claus Parade.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Myrna Bilton was recently awarded the International Shuffleboard Association (ISA)  Lifetime Achievement award in Germany after being the ISA president for nine years.

FERGUS – The 7080 Rotary e Club has started a new program called the Community Hero Award to recognize and celebrate a local persom at least once a quarter.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Emmanuel Christian High School hosted the Emmanuel Community Festival on Nov. 15.

ELORA – Local artist and art educator Erin Perry lead a workshop at the Elora Centre for the Arts on Nov. 16 called Art You Can Eat, But You Can’t Actually Eat It! to a group of enthusiastic students.
