Local team goes 2-2 at Christian school tourney

Community Christian School’s hockey team travelled to Fergus to participate in the annual Guelph District Christian School Hockey Tournament on Jan. 29. Team officials report they had a great day playing against other Christian schools.

The local squad’s first game was against Listowel Christian School. The team played a strong game and won 10-0.

Next up was Trinity Christian, Burlington. That was a hard-fought game and they ended up losing 3-2.

The final game of the round robin was again Providence Christian School, Dundas.  The team regrouped and ended up winning 4-2.

Next the team had to play the very strong team from Burlington Christian Academy.  They worked hard and skated hard, but ended up losing 9-1.

Team members thanked all of the parents who came out to cheer them on.
