Kendra Wheeler, of Elora, won bronze in senior individual dressage at the Canadian Interprovincial Equestrian Championships.

The competition was held from Sept. 25 to 27 at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa.

Wheeler was one of three Ontario team members to take home individual medals.

Jenna Mayhew of Ottawa took home a silver in senior dressage and Cydney Pavan from St. Catherines won bronze in junior show jumping.

The province, ranking second overall, also took home the gold medal in the team dressage competition.

As a pilot project, the Canadian Interprovincial Equestrian Championships is a collaborative event between the national and provincial equestrian organizations. The organizations field a senior and junior team in the disciplines of Show Jumping, Dressage and Reining.
