Last harvest - On Sept. 28 at about 4pm the last soybeans were harvested on the site of the South River subdivision,  where construction will begin on over 400 new housing units in 2021. These lands are located on the gentle slopes of a valley along the Grand River between Elora and Fergus. The infrastructure is currently being installed to bring Centre Wellington services to the site. There now remains only one farm property along the south slopes of the Grand River valley between Fergus and Elora.
