Horse fundraiser - As a result of a very successful event, Hooves for Hospice raised $8,000 for Hospice Wellington. The cheque was presented to hospice representatives on Nov. 4. Lynn Smillie ran Hooves for Hospice, raising the funds by inviting 50 horseback riders to participate in a fundraising ride in October at her farm. One of the riders raised $1,600 on their own.
