Farmers’ market strawberry social, maker’s market, Raleway Festival kick off summer in Palmerston

PALMERSTON – The Town of Minto is planning a day of events here to kick off the summer season on June 24.

Strawberry Social

From 9am-1pm, all are welcome to attend the Minto Farmers’ Market Strawberry Social, featuring the Minto Makers’ Market.

The event will be located at the Palmerston Lions Park Pavilion (instead of the regular location at the Railway Museum).

Over 30 vendors are set to attend the market, with products varying from fresh produce and meats, baked goods, and artisan crafts.

There will also be homemade strawberry shortcake available for purchase, as well as strawberry-themed activities, and live music with Sam and Robin of Mount Forest.

All proceeds will support the Minto Farmers’ Market.

Raleway Festival

Starting at 12pm, the doors open for All Aboard Palmerston’s second annual Raleway Festival. Located right across the tracks, at the Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum, those age of majority can enjoy Ales on the Rails, with 10 different beverage vendors offering a variety of Ontario beer, cocktails, wine, and spirits.

There will also be family-friendly activities for all ages, including outdoor games, handcar rides, food vendors, and live music by the 12th Line band.

Tickets for the Raleway Festival can be purchased on www.allaboardpalmerston.ca or in-person at the Palmerston Home Hardware, Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum, or the Town of Minto administrative office during operating hours.
