East Wellington Community Services annual golf tournament is July 15

East Wellington Community Services’ (EWCS) is preparing for its 12th annual fundraising golf tournament on July 15 at the Guelph Lakes Golf and Country Club.

Golfers will enjoy a catered barbecue lunch at 11am followed by a 12:30pm shotgun start for the best-ball tournament. Space is limited to 144 golfers. Registration forms are available on the EWCS website, at McKinnon TimBr-Mart in Hillsburgh or the EWCS offices.

“The golf tournament has become a fun and important annual event for EWCS so that we can continue to support the more than 25,000 residents within East Wellington through our programs and services,” said executive director Kari Simpson.

Last year, the tournament raised $21,400 and this year, the fundraising goal is $25,000. Registration costs $125 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, steak dinner, use of a power cart, team photograph,  and appreciative gift.

A live auction will be hosted by Kevin McArthur. Items this year include a cottage weekend getaway to the Red Leaves Resort in Muskoka, two pairs of gold level tickets for a Toronto Maple Leafs game, Blue Jays tickets, Maple Leafs gear, Serengeti aviator sunglasses, a weed trimmer and more.

This year EWCS is also celebrating its 30th anniversary in September.

Help EWCS continue to support neighbors in need by participating in this year’s golf tournament as a golfer or event sponsor. Don’t be disappointed and register today.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available including tournament contests, appreciation gifts, sponsoring a hole or donating an item for the silent or live auctions. All of these sponsorship opportunities will showcase your support of East Wellington Community Services to the more than 140 golfers in attendance at this year’s tournament, in addition to being recognized within the local community for your support as a sponsor.
