Centre Wellington Fusion at .500 after first six games of season

The Centre Wellington Select 7 Team 1 Fusion now holds a 3-3-0 regular season record.

The team is growing and staying strong with each game they take on.

On Oct. 11 they faced Oakville. Although they lost, the team played well with goals by Griffin Mackie, Sam Black and Owen Hahna and assists by Carter Billings, Evan van Eykeren and Easton Martin.

They faced Oakville the next weekend and came short of a win, losing 6-5 in the final minutes. Black scored two goals with assists going to Billings and Maxim Lebeau. Hahn also scored two goals with assists both from Martin.  A goal from Rossi also contributed to the near win.

Last weekend the team played a double header starting on Saturday in St. Catharine’s. Black scored off the top and they went into the second period 2-1 with the second goal scored by Hahn with assists from Ben Woodhouse and Nicolas Leader. Seconds into the second period Garden City scored bringing it to a tie game. The game finished 4-2 for Garden City.

The boys got it back for Sunday’s game against Burlington. They won 2-1 with goals by Same Blace and Nathan Renaud with assists going to Billings and Hahn.  Amazing saves by goalie Ethan Lawrence kept the boys on top of the Eagles.
