Addison Hill inspires new ‘Heal the Future’ campaign at SickKids hospital

TORONTO – Late Elora teenager Addison Hill is the inspiration behind a new paediatric health care campaign at The Hospital for Sick Children. The Precision Child Health “Heal the Future” campaign was launched on Sept. 21 with the unveiling of a huge crystal ball.

Centre Wellington youth, 13, charged with sexual assault

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Police have charged a 13-year-old from Centre Wellington with sexual assault. The "historical sexual assault" occurred at a home somewhere in Wellington County.

MINTO – On Sept. 15 at about 7pm, a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 23  here.

Masks again required at Wellington County hospitals

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Due to a recent rise in COVID-19 cases, masks will once again be required at all three hospitals in the county. Officials are asking visitors to be kind to health care workers, "especially when they ask you to wear a mask."

Township plans to improve pedestrian access to Puslinch Lake

News last week that Metroland Media Group was declaring bankruptcy was a gut punch to news industry people across Canada. To date it is the single largest newspaper failure in Canadian history. Seventy-one print-edition community newspaper titles were shuttered in one-fell swoop.
