Building off to quick start in Minto
Building activity is off to a quick start here for 2016.
January statistics from the Town of Minto building department show there were five permits issued in January for construction valued at $243,000.
The report, submitted by chief building official Terry Kuipers at the Feb. 16 council meeting, shows there were only two permits issued in January 2014, for $38,000 worth of construction.
Three of the 2016 projects are residential additions or renovations worth $133,000, one permit is for a residential accessory structure worth $50,000 and one is for agricultural construction valued at $60,000.
