Every year, the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington searches for a seasonal home for its Adopt-A-Family Program, relying on a local business to provide a donated space to set up the “Santa’s Workshop.”

Coldpoint Holdings Ltd. has confirmed that the Adopt-A-Family Program can return to 69 Huron Street for the second year running.

“It is a pleasure for us to be able to support the children’s foundation in making Christmas shine a little brighter for local families,” said Susan Frasson of Coldpoint.

“It’s a bit of a worry every year as to whether a holiday hero will step forward in time to save the day,” said Adopt-A-Family program director Karyn Kirkwood.

“The Wood family and Coldpoint Holdings have been wonderful supporters of the Children’s Foundation in the past and we are so grateful for their continued help this year by providing us with a spacious home for Adopt-A-Family as our site partner.”

Last year, the Adopt-A-Family Program was able to help 1,114 families during the holidays and having a space that can handle such a huge volume is crucial, officials state.

Donor sign-up for the Adopt-A-Family Program has begun.
