Wellington North supports new radio station
Wellington North council has approved of a staff recommendation to have a custom advertising package on the new community radio station 88.7 The River. The cost of this package is $8,000.
Due to this, council later did not support the recommendation to give $500 as a donation to the station for equipment.
“As issues come forward and public engagement is something we’re trying to accomplish this may be an opportunity to help enhance that,” said Mayor Andy Lennox.
