Man charged with sexual assault, child pornography in several incidents – some in Wellington
Police say offences took place in 2022 and 2023
HURON COUNTY – A man from Northern Bruce Peninsula is facing multiple sexual assault and child pornography charges in connection with incidents several years ago across the province, including Wellington County.
In a Nov. 5 press release, Huron County OPP officials stated they began an investigation in May into "offences that allegedly occurred in 2022 and 2023 in Huron County, Wellington County, and elsewhere in [Ontario]."
Police did not specify a date or location for the incidents in Wellington.
On Oct. 6, David Griffiths, 61, of Northern Bruce Peninsula, was charged with luring a person under 18, making sexually explicit materials available to a person under 18, two child porn charges, three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual exploitation.
He is to appear in Goderich court on Nov. 16.
