Tourism manager and analyst resign

Wellington North is losing two staff members this month after tourism, marketing and promotion manager April Marshall and process/compliance analyst Melissa Irvine resigned.

“April has been at the forefront of many successful projects that have put Wellington North on the map,” stated CAO Mike Givens.

“We understand April’s reasons for moving on to a new position and wish her well.”

“Melissa has played a prominent role in ensuring that the township’s water and sewer department has remained compliant with all provincial water and sewer regulations since she joined the team in 2004,” said Givens.

In a press release, the township thanked Irvine for being an integral part of the water and sewer team that achieved inspection ratings of 100% with risk ratings of 0% for the past nine years.

The township also thanked Marshall “for bringing ingenuity and tremendous support to numerous tourism and marketing initiatives in the community.”

Irvine’s last day will be March 27 and Marshall’s last day will be March 30.
