Fore! – The first Golf for Groves fundraising golf tournament could be a tough act to follow as it raised $95,000 for Groves Community Memorial Hospital. The event was held on May 29 at Wildwinds Golf Links and was presented by Sorbara Group of Companies and Tribute Communities. The tournament, organized by the Groves Hospital Foundation, is being called “a hole in one” by organizers, who intend to hold the tournament again next year. Funds will be used to purchase medical equipment for the hospital. Submitted photo

Business trade show – Norwell District Secondary School’s Grade 9 business class wrapped up the school year with its Business Trade Show. Transforming the cafeteria into a bustling marketplace, seven student-run businesses developed and showcased their own unique food items. More than 150 hungry Norwell students and staff packed the venue to sample the creations, acting as both consumers and critics. Education – Students from the Owl’s Nest Holistic and Alternative School outside of Harriston recently took part in an immersive French day with “Chef à l’École”.
