The Odd Trio headed to Wellington County museum on Jan. 15

The Odd Trio returns to the Wellington County Museum’s exhibition hall with lively music that will warm a winters’ day on Jan. 15 at 2pm.

The Trio will present music by J.S. Bach, and Ernest Bloch for flute and piano.

They will also play Mozart interpreted for horn and piano and a number of transcriptions of the 20th century song repertoire for horn and piano and bass, including movie music, jazz favourites and Latin American compositions.

This varied program is brought by three professional musicians who love to explore new repertoires together.

Greg Stroh, flute instructor at the Laurier Conservatory and principal flute for Wellington Winds, brings his flute and his electric bass;  Brad Moggach, organist at St. Peter’s Lutheran in Cambridge and alto/soprano saxophone in the Royal City Saxophone Quartet, will play the Yamaha piano; and Judith Douglas, principal horn in the Windjammers and horn instructor for University of Guelph, brings her horn and her delightfully lively commentary on the background of the music and composers.

The audience is invited to stay after the concert to meet the guest instrumentalists and friends over refreshments, and view the many exhibits of the museum, all included in the $10 ticket available at the door.
