Students invited to ride bus at Kindy Ride Day

Do you have a little learner that would like to know more about riding the bus before the first day of school?

Parents and guardians with children entering junior kindergarten and senior kindergarten this September are encouraged to come out to the annual Kindergarten Ride Day.

Kindy Ride Day is on Aug. 29. The annual event is organized by Wellington-Dufferin Student Transportation Services/Services de transport de Wellington-Dufferin (STWDSTS), which provides transportation services for eligible Upper Grand District School Board students.

STWDSTS recommends that all JK and SK students – both bused and walkers – participate in this valuable program, which introduces children and their families to riding the school bus.

The free program includes a short video, question and answer period and a family bus ride. Families are encouraged to come to Kindy Ride Day together. Numerous locations are wheelchair accessible.

Sessions begin at 9am and last approximately one hour.

Families are encouraged to book their ride in advance between Aug. 14 and 25.
