Speeder of the Week
WELLINGTON NORTH – On July 16 at about 10:15pm, a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 109.
Police say the officer observed a vehicle that appeared to be travelling above the posted speed limit.
A 20-year-old from Ajax was charged with speeding and performing a stunt (excessive speed) and is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
WELLINGTON NORTH – On July 16 at about 10:30pm, a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 109.
Police say the officer observed a vehicle that appeared to be travelling above the posted speed limit.
“The officer detected signs of impairment and demanded the driver provide a sample of their breath... which registered a warn range alert,” police stated in a press release.
A 47-year-old from Melancthon was charged with speeding and performing a stunt (excessive speed) and is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
In the above incidents the driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle seized for 14 days.
