WELLINGTON NORTH – On Oct. 27 at about 10:15pm, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program here.
A 66-year-old Arthur man was charged with driving with more than 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system. He is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 1.
CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Oct. 28 at about 10:15pm, Wellington County OPP officers responded to a single-vehicle collision with a road barrier on Sideroad 15, outside of Belwood.
A 63-year-old Creemore woman was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs and driving over 80mg. She is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 8.
MAPLETON – On Oct. 30 at about 10:45pm, Wellington County OPP officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Wellington Road 12.
Police say the driver fled from the scene “once [he] discovered that police were responding.”
A 40-year-old Mapleton man was charged with dangerous driving, driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs and driving over 80mg.
He is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 8.
PUSLINCH – On Oct. 31 at about 1am, Wellington County OPP officers on patrol noticed a motor vehicle in the ditch on Concession 1.
A 25-year-old Waterdown man was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs and driving over 80mg.
He is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 11.
In the above incidents the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
