Shredding event in Mount Forest

Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington and FileBank are joining forces to combat identity theft by hosting a community shredding event. Community members are invited to attend this event, taking place at the Mount Forest fire station on Oct. 29 from 10am to 1pm.

Community members are invited to bring all their unwanted personal documents for shredding by FileBank mobile truck. A $5 donation per banker’s box is expected – proceeds go to the Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington program.

Identity theft is the fastest growing form of consumer fraud in North America. Community members can protect themselves by regularly destroying confidential and personal documents rather than disposing of them in non-secure places such as garbage bins.
