Rolling Stones tribute show coming to Fergus Feb. 17

The Rolling Stones tribute show Hot Rocks will be performing at the Fergus Grand Theatre on Feb. 17.

Hot Rocks has been performing for over ten years, featuring Mick Jagger look-alike Robert Wotherspoon, is the number one Rolling Stones tribute show in Canada.

Guitarist Richard Colgan, who takes the Keith Richards role in the group, said “We are thrilled to be performing for the first time in Fergus.

“The Rolling Stones are still going strong after all these years and it is a privilege to perform their music. With over 50 years of hits there’s a favourite song there for everyone.”

Hot Rocks delivers the look, feel, and excitement of a contemporary Rolling Stones concert.

“With their costumes and stage personas it is the next best thing to seeing the Rolling Stones,” organizers say.

“The one thing that all five members of Hot Rocks share is their lifelong love of the Stones music, and it shows in their performance.

When asked what he believes to be the appeal of a tribute show such as Hot Rocks, Colgan said many people have been Stones fans since they were teenagers and bought all those great Stones albums.

Now they get to relive the experience at a show where they hear and see all their favourite hits from, Ruby Tuesday to Jumping Jack Flash to Brown Sugar performed in their own home town,” Colgan said.

Showtime is 8pm on Feb. 17 at the Fergus Grand Theatre.

Tickets are available for $25 at the theatre box office or online at tixhub.com.
