Police page policy

The Wellington Advertiser receives crime reports from numerous OPP detachments and area police services. Reports are published as a public service.

Impaired driving, illicit drugs, and aggressive driving of various forms continue to be of great concern to local law enforcement officials, hence the inclusion of the individual’s name as charged within the reports we publish. Again, reports are issued by the police as a public service.

Familial issues are not published on the basis that victims of violence are owed privacy.
