Pitch It! Minto competition entries sought

For the sixth year the Town of Minto is partnering with area organizations and businesses to offer the Pitch It! Minto Business Plan Competition.

The purpose of Pitch It! is to encourage small business growth in Minto and increase awareness of the resources available to businesses in the community.

The competition is geared toward entrepreneurs that wish to open, purchase, expand or re-locate a business in the Town of Minto.

Once again, thanks to the support of community sponsors, over $15,000 in cash and prizes are up for grabs to the winner and finalists of the competition.

“This competition gave me the opportunity to learn more about my business and the community and has greatly contributed to our success,” said Angie Christensen of Teenie Tiny Tots, the winner of last year’s competition.

The win allowed her to recently expand her storefront in downtown Palmerston.

“I would highly recommend that other businesses take part in Pitch It and benefit from the knowledge and experience the economic development committee and Launch It can provide to support their business,” said Christensen.
