HILLSBURGH — A boil water advisory issued for Hillsburgh residents on July 12 has been lifted by Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health effective immediately.

ERIN – Erin Fire Chief Jim Sawkins presented a post-incident analysis to town council on July 13 detailing observations and faults in Erin's response to a two-day boil water advisory in March.

HILLSBURGH - The village of Hillsburgh has been placed under a boil water advisory following the discovery of E. coli and coliform bacteria in a July 11 water sample.

ERIN - The Erin Rotary Club will erect a Peace Pole in McMillan Park on Sunday, July 16 at 12:30pm, just as Rotary Summerfest gets underway at noon.

ERIN - On June 6, the cadets at 242 Ross Ferguson Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron (RCACS) participated in their annual review at the Erin Agricultural Society grounds, and celebrated the successes of the cadets over the 2022-2023 training year.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Public health officials are urging area residents to take precautions on Wednesday and Thursday due to the "serious" risk posed by wildfire smoke originating in Quebec and northeastern Ontario.

HILLSBURGH – On June 21, the Let’s Get Hillsburgh Growing committee presented a $1,500 cheque to Melissa Auchincloss from Over Here to help fund upcoming projects such as the Art Ruralz Trail, a mapped app connecting local public art landmarks, and Look Over Here Selfie Stations.
