CENTRE WELLINGTON – Some people enjoying the outdoor rink beside the Elora arena on Jan. 18.

ELORA – The Elora Preschool is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, a milestone that’s rare for any business and perhaps even more rare for a childcare centre. And the centre hasn’t changed that much, said teacher/supervisor Nancy Vink, who has been with the centre for 15 years.

GUELPH – The River Run Centre was abuzz with excitement on Jan. 18, with hundreds of people dressed in their formal best to support a student-run fundraiser for the Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington, the Make Your Mark Foundation, and the Beyond Borders program.  

GUELPH – Compass Community Services launched “The Cost of Waiting” campaign on Jan. 13 to draw attention to the funding gaps for people with disabilities.

FERGUS – The Community Resource Centre of North and Centre Wellington opened a second brick and mortar location in Fergus on Jan. 13.

FERGUS  – Eighty-one-year-old Fergus artist Graeme Chalmers is taking the art world by storm with his eccentric birdhouse creations made from reclaimed materials.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Elizabeth Kent, executive director of Victim Services Wellington, was named Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington’s (CSGW) 2024 Cornerstone Award winner.
