FERGUS – Centre Wellington councillor Bronwynne Wilton has signed her name to a letter speaking out against Bill 5, the Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act.

BELWOOD – The sun peeked out from behind grey clouds to greet volunteers who attended the annual Friends of Belwood Lodge Day on May 31.

FERGUS – The Fergus Fibre Festival on May 31 on St. Andrew Street attracted knitters, crocheters, spinners and weavers, and others curious about the event.

FERGUS – Centre Wellington held a key projects open house at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus on May 29 with good attendance from community members.

FERGUS – Castlemore Dental hosted its “Doing Positive in My Backyard” free dental care clinic in Fergus May 24 to 25. 

ELORA – On April 22, 1925, Joseph and Florence Chamberlain arrived in Elora from Chilton Colliery, England with their 11 children in tow.

ELORA – Centre Wellington has always had outdoor water use restrictions, says Dino Masiero, manager of water services and environmental sustainability.

FERGUS – The Fergus Elora District Soccer club is up and running. The club’s Under 3 program started recently, with little house league players filling the Victoria Park fields in Fergus and the South Ridge Park fields in Elora.

FERGUS – Fabulous Fergus Pub Night, presented by Sensational Elora,  makes its return on June 19.
