ELORA– The Elora and Salem Horicultural Society’s Plant sale offered the perfect place for a last minute Mothers’ Day gift.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – On April 9, Wightman donated $2,200 to the Centre Wellington Swim to Survive program.

CENTRE WELLINGTON  – The Centre Wellington Pride committee will host the first CW Pride Celebration on June 14 at the Wellington County Museum and Archives. 

ELORA – Centre Wellington council has postponed until May 26 further discussion on the battery energy storage system (BESS) proposed by Aypa Power outside Fergus.

ELORA – There’s a movement afoot for the Elora Hawks Jr. B Lacrosse team to move up to the Junior A league – and over the weekend numerous local businesses pledged funds to help get them there.

ELORA – Centre Wellington staff have identified five road segments in the township that will see reduced speed limits in the coming year.

FERGUS – When Maggie Kurtz died in a motorcycle accident in October of 2023, she left a hole in the hearts of her family, her friends, and Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse. And on May 1, the club unveiled a new brand for the development program for its youngest players.

FERGUS – What began as a routine phone call to grandma, quickly blossomed into a world of adventure, danger and creativity.

GUELPH – It’s been 16 months since Dave Genereaux died in a two-vehicle crash. The other driver, Micheal Shular, pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing death. 

ELORA – The first outdoor Elora Farmers’ Market of the season was held at Bissell Park on May 3.
