ELORA – Canadian musician, author and visual artist Tom Wilson has been named the 2025 Creative Roots Artist of the Year at Riverfest Elora.

FERGUS – The Fergus South Secondary Plan took a giant leap forward on Aug. 25 thanks to a $6.8-million grant from the provincial government.

FERGUS - Long-time volunteer John Campbell is calling this year’s 80th anniversary of the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland games his last. He started volunteering with what was then just the Fergus Highland Games in 1967, previously a one-day event that drew thousands to Victoria Park.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Drew Adams, who plays box lacrosse with Centre Wellington Minor Lacrosse, was selected to play for Team Ontario in the U13 division and his team came home national champions from the tournament in Halifax last week.
