CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Jan. 15 the Belwood and District Lions Club donated $1,000 to the Centre Wellington Food Bank with the help of community donations from events such as the club’s December 2024 breakfast with Santa.

ELORA – The Elora Centre for the Arts is singing the praises of the community and the Skyline Group of Companies for  helping the centre attain its most successful holiday campaign to date.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Kat Florence Icons series event on Jan. 17,  featured food by chef Ron McKinlay of Canoe restaurant in Toronto, and music by singer/songwriter Jann Arden.

CENTRE WELLINGTON– The Rhapsody Dance Project, a dance team from Waterloo, came to the Fergus Grand Theatre on Jan. 17 to perform Ethereal: a Winter Showcase.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – 100 Women Who Care Rural Wellington donated $11,600 to the proposed Aboyne Rural Hospice (ARH) on Jan. 14. 

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The puppies at Elora Doggy Daycare seemed to enjoy the cold snap on Jan. 20, even if their owners did not.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Hamilton-based Classic Troubadours Band plays music from James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Carole King and Joni Mitchell and others.

CENTRE WELLINGTON –Three friends from the Elora Karate Dojo braved the cold on Jan. 19 to raise money for Arthur Animal Rescue.

ELORA – The Elora Preschool is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, a milestone that’s rare for any business and perhaps even more rare for a childcare centre. And the centre hasn’t changed that much, said teacher/supervisor Nancy Vink, who has been with the centre for 15 years.
