ELORA – The 2026 budget, approved by council on Dec. 2, includes operating expenses of $60.6 million and capital projects totalling $35.7 million.

FERGUS – The Centre Wellington Singers’ Home for the Holidays Christmas concert drew a record crowd of 400 on Nov. 29 at Melville United Church in Fergus.

ELORA – St. John’s Church in Elora is selling Christmas puddings made from an Upper Canada recipe from the 1860s.

ELORA – It’s not feasible yet, but a township study indicates a good proportion of people in Centre Wellington would like and would use public transit if it was available.

FERGUS – Groves Memorial Community Hospital (GMCH), in partnership with Bayshore Integrated Care Solutions, is launching an “At Home” program to provide care in patients’ homes.
