Guelph hosts candlelight vigil for violence against women
Dec. 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
A candlelight vigil will take place at 6:30pm at The Boathouse on Gordon Street in Guelph. All are welcome.
On Dec. 6, 1989, 14 women were murdered at the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal.
Every year, hundreds of women in Canada are seriously injured or killed at the hands of an intimate partner.
