Fusion Atom AA up and down this season

The Atom AA Centre Wellington Fusion had a busy couple weeks going into Christmas.

Following the successful Nations Cup tournament in Detroit, the Fusion had to return and battle Burlington.

The team still on a winning high came out strong scoring three times to beat their rivals.

Eddie McDonald got the hat trick for the team with assists going to Brinley Wilson, Ryan McDougall and Zander Pereira. Owen Bright kept the puck out of the net for a 3-1 win.

Next up was a trip to Niagara Falls. The team battled hard with a lot of energy but in the end Niagara Falls was just too strong and skated away with a 2-0 win.

On Dec. 19, the Fusion travelled to the Garden City. The Falcons opened the scoring in the second. Thirty seconds into the third period, Denver Feltham found the back of the net to tie up the game. Zander Pereira got the assist. The Falcons took the lead again five minutes later. With a little over three minutes left in the game Eddie McDonald scored unassisted. The game ended in a tie.

On Dec. 20, Burlington returned to the Fusion’s barn looking for a win. On this night the Fusion was only able to put one goal past the Burlington net minder. Eddie McDonald got the goal with the assist going to Joe Columbus.

The game ended in a 6-1 loss.
