Excellent performances by Superstars at regional competition

Nine members of the Superstars Baton Club competed in Bowmanville at the CNBTA Regional Competition on April 3. Approximately 80 athletes from Richmond Hill, Oshawa, Hamilton, Brampton, Walkerton, Burlington, Ajax, Fergus, Arthur and surrounding area gathered to compete for the Regional Cups and Miss Regional Pageant.

Mackenzie Fraser, 7, of Arthur was 1st in basic march, strut, 3rd in solo and was 2nd in the Novice Miss Regional Pageant.

Alyssa George, 12 of Fergus was 1st in solo, 2baton, 3baton and 2nd in strut, RT and 2nd in the Intermediate Miss Regional Pageant.

Hayleigh Homer, 13, of Fergus was 1st in Basic March, strut, 2baton and 4th in solo dance and 5th in solo and 6th in Intermediate Miss Regional Pageant.

Paige Johnston, 8, of Arthur was 3rd in strut, solo and 2baton and 2nd in the Beginner Miss Regional Pageant.

Skylar Irwin, 13, of Arthur was 3rd in strut and 2baton and 5th in solo and 4th in the Beginner Miss Regional Pageant

Shayla Logel, 11, of Elora was 1st in basic march, 5th in strut and 2baton and 4th in Novice Miss Regional Pageant

Elsie Post, 10, of Arthur was 1st in RT, 2nd in solo, 2baton, 3baton, 3rd in strut and 2nd in the Advance Miss Regional pageant

Lauren Robb, 16, of Fergus was 1st in strut, 2nd in solo, RT, 3rd in 3baton, and 4th in 2baton.

Makenzie Worton, 14, of Fergus was 1st in 2baton, 2nd in strut, solo, 5th in RT and 4th in the Intermediate Miss Regional Pageant.

The duet team of Homer and Irwin won 1st for their Beginner duet performance and the duet team of Worton and George placed 1st in the Intermediate division.

The team “Little Devils” won 1st place out of 3 teams – members include: Homer, George, Irwin, and Post and the trio “Jellicle Ball” also won 1st place out of 3 trios – members include: George, Robb and Worton.   The trio “hot, Hot, Hot” placed 3rd – members include: Fraser, Johnston and Logel.   Congratulations on the excellent performances.

The twirlers are trained by Krista DiStasi of Fergus.  The girls will be training hard for the CNBTA Provincial Championships the beginning for May in Kitchener.
