County 4-H members fared well at Royal

While The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is over for another year, members of the Wellington County 4-H team ended the fair in good standing, having participated in the TD Canadian Dairy Classic Youth Show.

Over 400 competitors registered for the show from all across Canada.  

In the Junior Showmanship class, out of 92 exhibitors, Abbi Atkins placed sixth, Connor French placed 10th and Blaire French was 14th in the finals.  

In the intermediate showmanship class, out of 122 exhibitors, Travis Canning placed third and Tyson Walker placed 24th.

In the senior showmanship class, Brittany Lenselink earned an 8th final placing out of 126 exhibitors.

In the confirmations classes, three members returned to the finals. Blaire French finished 15th in the intermediate calf class showing Craigcrest Xmas Bough.  

In the summer yearling class, Tyson Walker showed Hazbro Sanchez All Spark placing 5th and Travis Canning showed Fraeland Fever Blana finishing 14th out of 67 head.  

Alycia Walker was 18th out of 24 with her Jersey yearling, Huronia Verbatim Tara.  

In the display competition the team tied for 4th and placed 3rd for Premiere County with 51 counties and provinces being represented. The team was also pulled out in the top 15 for group of three animals.
