Council agrees to defer dangerous dog designation appeal
Every dog has its day ... but in Centre Wellington one canine will have to wait until the new year.
An appeal of a dangerous dog designation is being deferred by council into early 2017.
The township’s bylaw for the registration, licensing and control of dogs permits the owner of a designated dangerous dog to appeal that designation and the associated restrictions to council.
Andrew Francone appeared before council on the appeal date of Dec. 12 to ask for a deferral to a later date.
The appeal hearing was deferred to Jan. 23.
